July 4th Celebrations

American Flag
     July 4th American Independence Day

First of all today’s post is this late because my hotel got hit by lightning which blew out the phones and as a consequence the internet too…

Here’s a most appropriate shot taken from my new D700, and to put it lightly, my confidence in Nikon has been restored!

The shot was more complex than meets the eye as the sun was behind the stage, rendering the flag completely in the shadow.

When I reviewed the pics I shot yesterday my simple thoughts about this new camera were simply: "Let Freedom Reign"…a most fitting thought considering the significance of July 4th, the day this picture was made
