Day 15/350 Left
1000 Words A Day – Welcome To My World
(I’m Sharing A Picture A Day With The World
For A Year!)

The Decisive Moment
Today just about anyone with a decent digital camera can deliver
decent wedding photography. However GREAT Wedding
Photography is considerably more illusive, and so rendering it
priceless.
Take for example the picture above, which was one in a series of
four that were shot.
To my mind, looking at the picture you can almost feel the love
between Jeannette & Michael. And truth is this shot was not staged,
but rather created as a result of closely observing the way these
newlyweds interacted with each other, Jeannette’s mannerisms and
expression in reaction to Michael’s touch, and Michael’s tenderness
towards Jeannette.
For me, long before I ever click my shutter at a wedding I get to know
my couple in a meaningful way, all the while taking them to a place
where they accept me like paint on a wall (you know that it’s there
but you really don’t see it).
And somewhere in all of this a very interesting and tender bond is
formed in which the wedding couple let’s you into their space and
you in turn are so respectful of this precious privilege that you’ve
been granted. And it is from this place of respect that your ability
to effortlessly capture the essence of your couple comes.
Ah,maybe it just might be true that a picture can capture a piece
of the soul…The stuff that Truly Great Wedding Photography Is
Made Of!
