Couldn’t resist this Irie Island shot, while shooting a wedding earlier this week…

Even The Rain Couldn’t Dampen Their Spirits…
Siobhan is one of the coolest brides I’ve ever worked with, and nothing that got thrown at her seemed to phase her at all.
Here we are having dashed outside after a let up in the rain. I was loosing the light fast, but insisted on removing every trace of muck that the rain had washed down so that I wouldn’t have to do it in post production. And this had the entire bridal party cracking up.
In fact I can still hear one guy saying…"Trust Kirk Elliott to see these things!"

Value Adding Techniques
As many photographers continue to struggle to find a foothold in this new digital age where it seems that everyone, and their best friend has a digital camera, I wish to ask the question of fellow photographers…
"Are you adding value to your work?"
You see, to continue earning a decent return from this art called photography that us Professional Photographers truly love, it is important that we absolutely wow prospective clients with just how amazing their photography could be when we produce it for them.
And it’s not for us to sit in front of the computer creating this wizardry, but instead the trick is to outsource the work so that you can be busy shooting even more projects for you to outsource.
Towards this end I have found Rent-A-Coder an indispensable resource for accomplishing such missions as you can tell from this my latest graphical enhancement that was done by a Romanian coder.
Now while there are many pitfalls to avoid when outsourcing, once you have it figured out you’ll simply never look back.
Anyhow, Tell me…Do you outsource any of your work, and if your answer is no, then let me ask…Is it something you’d like to do?

A Wedding In Paradise
Over yesterday & today I have been experimenting with creating short videos for posting to Video Syndication websites as part of a new marketing thrust.
So I thought I’d share the first video I created with this plan in mind and I’d love you to post a comment to tell me what you think…
