St. Lucia Photographer Shares A Photo A Day
With The World For A Year!

A Double Petaled Hibiscus
From time to time you hear me speak of my Grandma who was a true matriarch not just to her children and their children too, but to so many in my St. Lucia society.
So today when I got a facebook email in which one of my dearest cousins tagged me, I thought I’d share this poem that she wrote, with the hope that it might rekindle thoughts of a tender moment you too may have shared with someone dear…
The following is taken directly from my cousin’s FaceBook page. I hope you enjoy, shed a tear, or what ever else comes as a consequence…
But I don’t know who
I wanna yell at someone
Please tell me what I should do
If memories could erase
The pain that I feel
I wouldn’t be so sad
Even though I know that it’s real
But life treated you good
Always with a smile on your face
And I don’t think no one could
No one will ever take your place
And as the tears roll out of my eyes
And down my face
I know that you can never be replaced
Goodbye’s the saddest word I’ll ever hear
Goodbye’s the last time I will hold you near
Someday you’ll say that word and I will cry
It’ll break my heart to hear you say goodbye
But the love you gave me will always live
You’ll always be there every time I fall
You are to me the greatest love of all
You take my weakness and you make me strong
And I will always love you ’til forever comes
So I’ll tell you I love you
As I kiss your closed eyes
Hoping that you’ll be with me always
As I tell you goodbye

And Thank You for caring too. When I started posting photos a few short months ago I hadn’t a clue as to where it would lead. All I knew was that I wanted to share the beauty, the pain, the pleasure, of my world and what makes me me, with the rest of the world, simply because I have been blessed to have enjoyed so much goodness in my life…and for what reason I still don’t know.
Interestingly enough, the more I give of me, and the more I share, is the more rewarded I feel and I am constantly amazed by the number of people who come back and say that I have touched their lives in a positive way.
I Thank God for this gift of Giving that he has given me and hope that it inspires others to give to others too. As the most intelligent creatures on this planet I think its about time that we all use our intelligence for the good of all…Just imagine then, what a wonderful world this would be!
