St. Lucia Photographer Shares A Photo A Day
With The World For A Year!

St. Lucia Photography Workshop
Looking Out Across St. Lucia’s Northern End

When The Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) acquired a new digital camera and wanted to get expert guidance in using the new technology I got called in.

…And what a wonderful workshop it was.  Spread over 4 days, we explored the mechanics of digital vs film photography, the working of the camera with a view to creating better pictures, digital post production, digital asset management, intellectual property and copyright issues…and quite a bit more.

Pictured here is a workshop participant making a picture of the ruin pictured here, but at a vantage point that precluded the wires running across my picture.

It was a really excellent workshop and a great pleasure for me to share my knowledge.

In fact when one participant asked if I wasn’t afraid that by sharing so much I would lose future work, my simple reply was that so many great photographers have unselfishly shared so much of their knowledge with me that it was my absolute pleasure to pass on the benefits of what I have learnt and such a fear had never, and would never cross my mind!

When you give of your knowledge, you give something of yourself. That will enrich the lives of others and also enrich your own in ways you can’t imagine and may never realize. I always found when I gave time or help to someone that it gave me so much pleasure back that I felt I gained far more than I gave. Take care and thanks for sharing your time, talent and the beauty of your world – and most importantly – a piece of yourself. Take care and God bless you.

Many Thanks as always for your most kind words! And yes, there’s a special joy that comes from sharing that is kind of hard to describe and that money can’t replace
