When It Rains
Okay, so rain can place a serious damper on your wedding & your wedding photography…but only if you let it.
Truth is while most Caribbean days are beautifully sunshiny, there are often a few days in the year when the heavens just seem to open up and pour down every bucket of water that can be found in the sky!
So what’s a gal to do if it rains buckets on her wedding day of all days? Well first of all ensure that your photographer is up to the challenge…
When I shoot a rainy day wedding I incorporate this fact into my wedding photography and let the bride & groom know that it will take more than a few buckets of rain to dampen our spirits. And if things get really wet we could always swim in it!…
Point in case, take the wedding photo above. The rain caused so much mud that Michelle’s shoes got all brown & muddy…Well guess what?…I made a picture of Tony taking care of his wife by cleaning her wedding shoes and her feet!..
Think this couple will remember this moment for the rest of their lives?…I think so too.
My best rainy weather advice to brides is to not leave your wedding till the end of your vacation. That way if it rains on your wedding day you have the chance to re-shoot on a brighter day.
Secondly always ask your hair dresser "What if it rains?", will she touch up your hairstyle, or re-do it…and at what price.
So as I’ve said before "Wedding Day rain can wet the earth, but doesn’t have to dampen your spirits!"
