Day 21/344 Left
1000 Words A Day – Welcome To My World
(I’m Sharing A Picture A Day With The World
For A Year!)

OK so today we’re seeing the most pictures for one day so far
Now before getting all huffy & puffy on me there’s a reason for
all of these wedding pictures.
You see last week I got an email from a bride asking about what
to wear for her seashore wedding. However I had already shown
all the wedding pictures that I might have shown last week
as my Photo Posts are not about a wedding photo a day.
Well here is Jenny’s Most Burning Question
"…Your best advice regarding a wedding on a beach – what to
look out for, decisions to make, what’s the best thing to wear
for both bride & groom…"
And here’s what I told her:
" Hi Jenny,
Thank you for your question and for considering a Destination
Wedding,
Gosh I asked for one question and you sent me a mouthful!
Just gotta love you (:-). Actually truth be told, this is really
great because it allows me to help you even more.
Ok here goes:
Your best advice regarding a wedding on a beach
1. Do not wear shoes down on the sand. Bare feet will be
so much more romantic
2. Make sure your photographer gets pictures of your bare
foot pleasures!
3. Do not have your wedding right at sunset. The sun sets
quickly and the light is lost, thus ruining your precious
wedding pictures
4. If your wedding will be in St. Lucia let me know at which
hotel & I’ll tell you the best time of day and why
What’s the best thing to wear for both bride and groom
1. Simply wear what ever you like! Here are some ideas:
http://tinyurl.com/boamd2
2. While many couples choose to dress really simply
down on the beach I have also seen some extravagant
wedding attire right down at the seashore. One of the
most interesting ones I’ve seen was a bride in a white
2 piece bikini with the sort of netting of a veil for her
bikini’s train. And her groom wore black swim trunks…
and a bowtie!…I swear!!!"
Now it’s been said that a picture is worth 1000 words and the
preceding wedding photos can spark the imagination far more
than if I rattled on for half an hour…Ah the power of the internet!
As always Enjoy, and feel free to send me Your Most Burning
Question about an upcoming destination wedding, either in
St. Lucia or abroad.

Thank You Frans, You are spot on!
Those photos are from the days when I held the contract to provide the photography at Sandals Halcyon.
I’m touched to know that my photos help start your day and this is the reason why starting last night I’m posting late at night so that everyone can be greeted by a new photo first thing in the morning…Depending on their time zone of course.
Have a great day my friend!

The colors in the first shot are insane! Look at that blue sky! I do beach weddings, but of course our beaches are not as beautiful as the ones you have the pleasure of shooting at! I am envious!
Have a great day, my friend! : )

Hi Gwen,
That was just such a beautiful day! Also I like to work with my background at a 90 degree angle to the overhead sun between 10 am and noon on the western side of the island.
There are so many little tricks that I just take for granted. Photography is pure science for me as I majored in Geology & Chemistry and minored in Physics and Mathematics at The University of the West Indies in Jamaica…Oh and I drank lots of Red Stripe beer!
